SHIP does NOT sell health insurance

SHIP provides personal counseling at local community centers or to the homebound in some instances. SHIP is dedicated to assisting Illinoisans on Medicare and their caregivers for FREE.

SHIP counselors are trained by the Department of Insurance to guide you through problems involving:

• Medicare
• Medicare Supplement Insurance
• Medicare Managed Care Plans
• Long-term Care Insurance
• Retiree Health Plans
• Claims processing
• Appealing Claim Denials

SHIP has counselors statewide that can answer your questions and assist you with your health insurance problems.
