Caregiver Spotlight
Regina Edwards

What made you interested in working as a Caregiver?
I have always been interested in it. My Grandmother was also in a nursing home and I decided to take her out of there and care for her myself.
How long have you been with Chicagoland Caregivers?
Since the beginning of the year. I currently work a live-in assignment 5 days per week.
What did you do before coming to Chicagoland Caregivers?
I have tried other professions, but caregiving keeps coming back.
What is an interesting story/situation about a client through us?
I love spending time with my current client - we like to revisit his past memories and I love to listen to his many worldly adventures.
What do you find most challenging about being a caregiver?
Finding acceptance from clients and trying to form new bonds with them.
What do you find most rewarding about being a caregiver?
After a solid bond is formed, then that allows me to make them feel more comfortable and happy in their homes.
What are your interests, when not working?
Relaxing at home and spending time with friends.
Thank you Regina for all of your hard work and dedication!!!
