My friends talked me into it and then I realized I really enjoyed it.

I started with Chicagoland Caregivers in September, 2004, and have now been with my current live-in client for 10 months.
Where did you work before coming to Chicagoland Caregivers?
I worked as a server in a restaurant and banquet hall, did house cleaning and worked at UPS as a package handler.
What do you find most challenging about being a caregiver?
I find working with dementia clients challenging because of the inability to really communicate with them.
What do you find most rewarding about being a caregiver?
I enjoy getting to know clients and family members and becoming close to them.
What are your interests, when not working?
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially with my 4 nieces (and 1 more is on the way).
What are your plans for the future?
I would like to go back to school for either Massage Therapy or Physical Therapy.
Congratulations Kathy on all of your hard work and dedication!!
