Caregiver Spotlight
Ruby Johnson

What made you interested in working as a Caregiver?
Cancer runs deep within my family, so I have cared for several family members and when I retired from the Phone Company, I figured this would be a natural transition.
How long have you been with Chicagoland Caregivers?
1 year and 8 months. I currently work an hourly assignment during the week with a male client and then do a live-in assignment on the weekend with a female client.
What did you do before coming to Chicagoland Caregivers?
Worked for a Phone Company as a Marketing Representative.
What do you find most challenging about being a caregiver?
Being able to keep my own energy level up so I can adapt to clients changing needs.
What do you find most rewarding about being a caregiver?
Providing care and being able to make a difference in my clients lives.
What are your interests, when not working?
Doing little things around the house, such as yard work and gardening.
What are your plans for the future?
Continue with caregiving and when I retire from this, to travel within the U.S.
Thank you Ruby for all of your hard work and dedication!!!
